They spend their afternoons with Astrid Donal at the Greys’ lush Long Island estate and their nights in Manhattan’s bustling metropolis. But Letty’s not content to be a mere socialite. She is ready at last to chase her Broadway dreams—no matter the cost.

"4.5 stars. Another brilliant, shiny offering from Ms. Godbersen. Beautiful Days is a wonderful follow up to Bright Young Things and I look forward to the next installment. This time around we pick up after Cordelia is betrayed by Thom Hale, Letty is let down by someone she trusted, and Astrid is newly engaged to Charlie Grey. The girls are now the best of friends, enjoying lazy afternoons by the pool, late nights and early mornings in glittering night clubs and speakeasies, and in general they are living the most charmed of lives, or so it seems. But things are not always as shiny and bright as they appear, especially when they are living in the middle of a bootlegger's war. Charlie is determined to avenge his father's demise, but not simply by going for the "eye for an eye" mentality, but rather by hitting the Hale's where it hurts the most - in their business matters. Astrid soon tires of feeling neglected and Cordelia discovers that she also has a role in the ascendance of her family's growing business. As for Letty, all she wants is to take center stage, and in the mean time she has a new love interest that she soon finds out is more than what she thought him to initially be. Overall great story lines, exceptional writing, and of course the historical touches that makes these books a delight to read."

“An airy and glamorous historical novel…A light yet busy story line with enough character development, description, romance, and intrigue to engage readers.”
— VOYA" Anna is a very good up and coming Author. I have read her Luxe series, and absolutely loved it! She allows her readers to take a glimpse into an era that we never lived through, and makes us realize that no matter what era , there will always be romance, rival, and drama! "
— Shelley, 2/15/2014" So so so good!! Great sequel. Can't wait till the next! "
— Kelly, 2/6/2014" I was disappointed to the newest addition to the BYT series. The book was boring and I fought to finish the story. I hope the third installment is better because I'm a huge fan of Anna Godbersen. "
— Lawanda, 2/6/2014" I am a big fan of Godbersen's stuff - she is one of those authors where I know I can buy the next book in the series confident that it will be a solid, enjoyable read and this one's no different. Really brings the 20s to life and you can almost hear the dialogue being said aloud in that style - her dialogue does a good job of being period-appropriate. Looking forward to the series conclusion! "
— Jennifer, 2/2/2014" Loved...now I have to wait for the third :( I'm really enjoying this light series. "
— Heather, 2/1/2014" Here we are with Astrid being the girl who is married. So I got that right, and I do believe that Letty singing in the club may have made her famous. But that will be for the third book to decide. "
— Steph, 1/26/2014" This sequel was not as exciting as the first one, and at times I found my attention dwindling - however it picked up towards the end. The characters were still lovable though, even though Cordelia and Letty's friendship starts to change (which annoyed me a little). But an altogether good book. "
— Nell, 1/7/2014" This was not nearly as entertaining as the first book in the series, but I still enjoyed it! "
— Laura, 12/20/2013" Still dragging myself through this series. Kind of a cool look at the life of a bootlegger during the 20's, but doesn't go into enough detail for me. Moves really slow, kind of boring. "
— Audrey, 10/31/2013" I loved it! What else is there to say? Its a very well written sequel to the first book and good for flapper lovers. "
— Kelseyc, 10/31/2013" Just as good as the first one. I love watching these three girls come in to there own. "
— Marcia, 6/15/2013" I didn't like this one as well as the first in the series and am hoping that the third book is a little better. "
— Mary, 1/4/2013" I want to know what happens to Astrid, Cordelia, and Letty. "
— Juwon, 12/20/2012" I think I like the author's first series better, but this one is still pretty decent. It's interesting to learn more about the time period of the 1920's, and the characters are mostly intriguing. "
— Carly, 8/21/2012" Couldn't put this book down, stayed in bed til i had finished it. Really good book. "
— Sarah, 6/16/2012" I've loved all that I've read from Anna Godberson and Beautiful Days certainly did NOT disappoint. "
— Rebekah, 12/23/2011" I absolutely love these books. No literary value whatsoever, but such a frivolous escape. "
— Ashley, 11/8/2011" I liked this much better than the first book. The glamour and danger of the 1920s is perfectly portrayed through three girls. Some parts of the book were hard to believe, though. "
— Emily, 10/31/2011" Anna is a gift. If you haven't checked out this series or her first, do yourself a favor and head for the bookstore/library now. "
— Josh, 10/23/2011" I was disappointed to the newest addition to the BYT series. The book was boring and I fought to finish the story. I hope the third installment is better because I'm a huge fan of Anna Godbersen. "
— Lawanda, 10/18/2011" Fun sequel to Bright Young Things. Perhaps not as good as the first; but it still kept me engaged and wanting to find out what happens to who and when. Can't wait for the next one! "
— goddess, 10/8/2011" Loved...now I have to wait for the third :( I'm really enjoying this light series. "
— Heather, 10/7/2011" lame. nothing really happens until the last 50 pages, but the action wasn't enough to make up for how annoying/unlikeable the girls are. sadly, my curiosity generally gets the best of me and i'm positive i'll be reading the next one. "
— saint, 10/4/2011" 3.5 stars. I liked this better than the first one; really developed on the characters. Not quite The Luxe series, but fun! "
— Jen, 9/26/2011" So far, this series has not disappointed at all. The author does a great job of making the reader feel like part of the story. I'm actually kind of sad I have to wait for the 3rd installment...I just want to know what happens to these 3 women that feel like friends! "
