The Tribulation Force is gathering in Jerusalem, where thousands of the faithful are receiving crucial teachings from their leader. They must be prepared for the fourth Trumpet Judgement prophesied in Revelations. Soon, even the sun will be affected, and a plague of anguish will be released on earth.

As the Tribulation Force continues its dramatic struggle against evil, Apollyon offers stunning apocalyptic visions. Richard Ferrone's riveting narration captures the suspense of the physical conflicts and the drama of the spiritual challenges. When Left Behind, the first book in LaHaye and Jenkins' inspirational saga, was published, it attracted millions of fans worldwide. Since then, each succeeding book has joined it on best seller lists. Apollyon, the fifth volume, is a thrilling continuation of the battle between the followers of Christ and the forces of Nicolae, the Antichrist.

" Book #5 in the Left Behind series is a return to the type of storytelling that has worked so effectively in this series so far. In this installment we have the meeting of the witnesses at the Wailing Wall & throughout Israel & we also witness the next 2 judgements - the dimming of the sun & the plague of locusts. Lahaye & Jenkins keep this story moving at a breakneck pace as we get a better idea of what God has in store for those who have been saved & also for those who aren't. Throughout the story we continue to see the frustration of Carpathia as he continues to insist that his new world order is the right order. We also watch the various members of the Tribulation Force continue in their struggles against him & as they go about their lives as best they can. "Apollyon" leaves us with hint that while many, many bad things have happened things are about to get worse but also a reminder that with every passing judgement we are one step closer to the return of Christ on earth. " This is my favorite thus far, other than the first book. It's almost non-stop excitement, and doesn't focus on any one of the characters too much like in other books. Fun, light reading. "

" The entire Left Behind series is great. Even if you're not a Christian the thrill, mystery and suspense makes it a good read. "

" This book didn't really center on Apollyon, I don't think he was even in the book besides the demons chanting his name. I loved that Chloe had a baby, I though that the authors were going to let it die so they don't have to deal with a baby in the book...but I was wrong (thank goodness). More memebers are added to the Trib force as they huttle down to ward off the remaing judgments of Christ. "

" Judgement is here! This is the main theme of the fifth book. This is probably the closest to a science fiction/Christian book of the series. I enjoyed reading this installment. "

" This series is interesting as fiction goes, but they should not be taken as a literal interpretation of the Bible or prophesied events. "

" Well thought out! It must be hard to write something like this- you have to keep the book moving while the book is a span of a year! That would be hard for me. I loved the plot and new characters in this book and I would encourage you to start this series! "
