Publisher Description

Several things about 14-year-old Georgia Nicolson's life are very wrong. Her bedroom smells like her little sister probably peed somewhere, but she can?t find where. Angus, her enormous cat, keeps terrorizing Mrs. Next Door's poodle. Dad's gone off to look for work in New Zealand. And one of her friends has rated Georgia's nose a zero on a scale from 1-10. But what's really driving her crazy is that Sex God Robbie doesn't give her the time of day. In fact, he's dating total idiot Lindsay, who Georgia happens to know wears thong knickers, which have no purpose except to climb up your bum. Is it too much for Georgia to hope for some full-frontal snogging with a Sex God, if he ever notices her?

Louise Rennison caused a sensation with this hilarious book that has been called Bridget Jones' Diary for adolescents. Narrator Stina Nielsen brilliantly fills the shoes of one of the most colorful young adult book characters in years.

"Read it when I was like 13. Thought it was the funniest thing ever. Loved the glossary in the back, the British writing style, and the scadalous life of Georgia. Went on to read all the other books in the series. Really fun book, good summer read. Again, Super super funny "

" This was a fast, light read and I laughed out loud a few times. It's not as good as John Green YA but not as awful as Stephenie Meyer YA. YMMV.. "

" I'm becoming jaded about books lately, so I thought I'd spend some time on YA books to get away from the sex and the swearing. Um, no. A fun read that had me giggling, even while I was appalled at the language, sexual themes, smoking, etc. I'd advise skipping the novel and just spending time with the hilarious glossary of English words in the back! (Still racy, but very funny.) "

" Hilarious. After seeing the movie first, the novel is even better and even if you have seen the film, it won't ruin the book. Excellent young adult read. "

" I read these books when I was in high school, and I keep picking them up now and then. They're hysterical! Perfectly depicts what it's like being a young girl, but with such great humor. I wish I could be friends and hang out with Georgia and her gang. "

" Some parts were really funny, but I just didn't like Georgia very much. She was shallow and mean to her friend at times. Even when things went her way, I just couldn't get that excited. Overall, ok, but I don't think I'll continue with the series. "

" This book is amazing. I LOVED Georgia's hilarious and infectious voice. It was extremely fun, fast and light. Also, I found it very unpredictable where Georgia's relationship with Robbie (a.k.a. The Sex God) went near the end for some reason. "
