The book goes back to the past to highlight how they met and the good times and back to the present to show the pressures and hard times from both points of view. It is well written but I found the constant back and forth a little off putting and, for myself, I found it slightly depressing. "

" I liked this, better than a lot of things she's written since Ralph's Party. Good description of the upheaval and changes to a relationship that happen with the birth of a child. "
