" An easy and enjoyable read. I enjoyed seeing Beth's story and how she overcame her fears by trusting in God. I liked the focus on the changing of the west with trains and how they shaped our country. I did think that the "consequences of Nick's complicated past" was too easily solved, but I liked how all of their stories intermingled to keep the series alive. "

" This was an easy read, taking less than three days to read.It had lovable characters and it stressed the need to depend on God.I'll probably read the next in the series just to stay with the characters a little longer. "

" I found this book to be appropriate for young teens, but overall I found the characterization to be lacking and the plotline overly simplistic. I read to page 50 and then decided that it was a bit juvenile for my taste. "
