Beth Gallatin has always wanted to settle down in one town, with one man, and raise a family. But with her father’s roaming ways, she found solace in reading romances instead. The passing of her father, however, means that Beth and her sisters can, for the first time, dare to claim the rugged Montana frontier as their home. Nick Lassiter has loved Beth since she first came to town, but she’s always seemed to think of him more as a brother. Just when he finally gets Beth to consider him, an unexpected arrival from Nick’s complicated past threatens the affection growing between them. As a past fraught with unwise choices and guilt invades their world, will Nick and Beth find the courage to embrace love?

"An easy and enjoyable read. I enjoyed seeing Beth's story and how she overcame her fears by trusting in God. I liked the focus on the changing of the west with trains and how they shaped our country. I did think that the "consequences of Nick's complicated past" was too easily solved, but I liked how all of their stories intermingled to keep the series alive."

“Peterson’s latest Brides of Gallatin County novel will warm your heart. The characters are well rounded, well thought out, and never boring.”
— RT Book Reviews (4 stars)" What a treat to find novels that are clean and yet carry a story. There was enough suspence to keep me involved. It is very easy reading. I will definitely read more of this author. "

— Nancy, 1/22/2014" This was an easy read, taking less than three days to read.It had lovable characters and it stressed the need to depend on God.I'll probably read the next in the series just to stay with the characters a little longer. "
— Robin, 1/17/2014" I found this book to be appropriate for young teens, but overall I found the characterization to be lacking and the plotline overly simplistic. I read to page 50 and then decided that it was a bit juvenile for my taste. "
— Debbie, 1/9/2014" Three and a half stars. "
— Zekkaina, 12/6/2013" Very good trilegy, I really liked this series! "

— Jane, 5/11/2013" Loved this whole series... I couldn't put them down. Strong women who make it on their own in the "Wild West" after their father dies. They stick together and each book highlights one of the three sisters--their growth, their relationships and their futures. "
— Patti, 5/1/2013" I have already read books 1 and 3 in the series and was grateful for the change of pace in this book. The story with Rafe was exactly identical in books 1 and 3 so it was good to have a change. There were also humorous pieces and more excitement in this book than the other two. "
— Tiffany, 4/26/2013" Book two of the brides of gallatin county. "
— Jackie, 1/19/2013" entertaining, easy reading, happy ending "
— Mickie, 12/31/2012" So this series is about three sisters and this book is the 2nd book in the series. I admit it was my least favorite of the three books, but was still enjoyable. Especially the parts about Lacy, who is the main character in the last book. "
— Alyson, 11/30/2012" As usual...lots of fun. "
— Bunni, 10/8/2012" This is the 2nd in the trilogy. I like how the characters have personal issues to overcome, which they do with God's help, and at the same time find the perfect man for them and enjoy this close relationship with their sisters. And it's in the a frontier setting. "
— Sandie, 1/21/2012" Fun to see the characters and relationships develop more in this series. "

— Desiree, 9/8/2009" This is book 2 of 3. I loved how each book is narrated by a different sister. While you have a good idea of how each book will end, you are very uncertain of what will happen in the middle. I went from one book to the next and would read them again. "
