Publisher Description

Boston PI Remy Chandler has a life any man would envy, with friendship, a job he’s good at—and love. But Remy is no ordinary man. He’s an angel who chose to renounce heaven and live on Earth. So he’s able to will himself invisible, hear thoughts, and speak and understand any language—of man or beast. Talents that will become invaluable to him when his angelic past returns to haunt him... The Angel of Death has gone missing, and Remy’s former colleagues have come to him for help. But what at first seems to be about tracing a missing person turns out to involve much more—a conspiracy that has as its goal the destruction of the human race. And only Remy Chandler can stop it....

"Interesting take on the life of a fallen angel/private detective. Grabs you from the beginning and makes you really feel for the main character. Nice to read a Urban Fantasy that isn't your usual vampire, werewolf, fairie book. Great start to a great series. "

" This was a better novel than I expected, quite honestly. Remy Chandler is a marvelous MC, and I look forward to reading more about him once I lay hands on the later novels. The novel captured a tiny portion of the gritty hard-boiled detective genre and combined it successfully with a world where divine and demonic beings struggle to preserve or destroy humanity. Good stuff. "

" Have not finished this book yet, about quarter of the way through. It just seems to drag out so much... maybe this is why I prefer more YA books. They get right at it to keep you interested. "

" Wonderfully written mystery, with an Angel (of the Host Seraphim) as the protagonist. Dialogue and scenes are well set up, the reader is brought along in the plot easily. Very enjoyable, a good read "

" I picked this up after reading a short story with this character in "Mean Streets". An interesting idea, an angel trying to be human and a PI. I find I like the dog better than the main character. Still, I'll keep reading to see where it goes. "
