"Interesting take on the life of a fallen angel/private detective. Grabs you from the beginning and makes you really feel for the main character. Nice to read a Urban Fantasy that isn't your usual vampire, werewolf, fairie book. Great start to a great series. "

" This was a better novel than I expected, quite honestly. Remy Chandler is a marvelous MC, and I look forward to reading more about him once I lay hands on the later novels. The novel captured a tiny portion of the gritty hard-boiled detective genre and combined it successfully with a world where divine and demonic beings struggle to preserve or destroy humanity. Good stuff. "
— Miles, 2/17/2014" Great audio! I can't wait to listen to the next two in this series so if you have them checked out, please hurry so I can get to them! ;-) "
— Deena, 2/3/2014" Have not finished this book yet, about quarter of the way through. It just seems to drag out so much... maybe this is why I prefer more YA books. They get right at it to keep you interested. "
— Jesska, 2/2/2014" Wonderfully written mystery, with an Angel (of the Host Seraphim) as the protagonist. Dialogue and scenes are well set up, the reader is brought along in the plot easily. Very enjoyable, a good read "
— Marisella, 1/29/2014" I read this in a little over a day. It qualifies as a fun TV book and completely appropriate for my frame of mind. "
— Tarrigon, 1/24/2014" I picked this up after reading a short story with this character in "Mean Streets". An interesting idea, an angel trying to be human and a PI. I find I like the dog better than the main character. Still, I'll keep reading to see where it goes. "
— Eddie, 1/18/2014" What if . . . the angel of death went missing? And and angel turned human is charged to find him. Unique - very good read. "
— Lori, 1/15/2014" I just couldn't get into this book unfortunately. "
— Jennie, 12/17/2013" Not very good. Too lightweight compared to other urban fantasy novels. Read Jim butcher or Benedict Jackas books instead. "
— Fred, 11/27/2013" The hero is an angel who chose to stay on earth with a human wife. He now solves supernatural mystery cases--problems that need an angel's powers to solve. Very good if you like the genre. "
— Minerva, 11/24/2013" Great Book! Definitely my type of book. Angel wars...gotta love em. This book made me laugh a lot and cry a little. I'm just so excited that there are two more books in the series. "
— Colleen, 6/26/2013" Meh. Remy strikes me as a Gary Stu who is not as interesting as the dog. I did like the character of Frank, though. I would read a book about him. "
— Enjee, 6/21/2013" Sexy fallen angel **shudder** need I say more? Okay, good noirish writing and an intriguing storyline with biblically lyrical characters make this book thebeginning of a compelling and fun series. "
— Gail, 12/31/2012" Interesting story, starring an angel in human guise. Enjoyed his "chats" with his dog. Found this one in the bargain bin. It was well worth the $3.99 price. "
— Lavonne, 11/3/2012" Recommended for fans of the fourth and fifth season plot material of Supernatural, minus the Sam n' Dean brotherly dynamics. "
— Ashley, 8/11/2012" This story was a bit depressing and very predictable. "
— Cheryl, 6/24/2012" excellent story plot that involves many twist and turns of mystery. angels and otherworldy creatures, expands my knwoledge of incredible fiction "
— VivShay, 10/25/2011" This was such a wonderful book...beautiful, haunting, and fantastic! I look forward to Remy Chandler's next adventure, for I've been "Touched by and Angel." :) "
— Metagion, 10/6/2011" This starts out very slow but ends well. I don't think I'll be continuing with this series. "
— Jess, 7/29/2011" Waste of paper. "
— Tom, 7/8/2011" Too much testosterone. No female principals who were not whores or madonas. "
— Bungluna, 5/19/2011" Another one about angels. This one is lighter. An angel, Remiel? has decided to become human. He's a private detective, of course. It was actually pretty good. "
— Beverly, 3/31/2011" Funny - I really liked this book after all. I was expecting to be disappointed, especially after reading John Levitt's series. Turned out pretty decent. Ready for book #2 in the series. "
— Rob, 2/28/2011" I really like this character, Remy Chandler! Great stories! "
— Susan, 2/8/2011" This book had the dialogue and plot of a bad comic book. I actually feel dumber having read it. "
— Jimmyjo, 1/2/2011" An interesting take on angels & religion. Enjoyed it and the other books in the series. I'll probably ready the next one in the series when it comes out. "
— Mike, 12/29/2010" Un livre pour passer un bon moment! <br/>pas de version française pour le moment. "
