"Loved this book! It was a great glimpse into life in early 20th century America and the life of Italian immigrant. It is always obvious the amount of research that this author puts into her books. This book is no different. We get to follow the lives of 3 Italian girls whose personalities and backgrounds could not be more different. This author is truely a master storyteller. Her manner of telling the story was a bit unique - and were it any other author, I am not sure that it would have worked for me. But somehow, she made it work - as omniscient narrator and observer of the lives being played out, with random comments here and there...Highly recommend this book!"

— RT Book Reviews“If you enjoy historical fiction with a dash of romance, a sprinkling of political upheaval, and a bit of mystery thrown in, Siri Mitchell’s A Heart Most Worthy is a book to add to your reading list.”
— Examiner.com“Mitchell’s inspirational historical romance, set in 1918, skillfully contrasts the girls’ traditional Italian-Catholic upbringing and the bustling, exuberant American lifestyle they crave.”
— Booklist" This is the fourth book by Siri Mitchell that I've read. It amazes me how different her writing style is for each of her books. I don't know what to expect. I absolutely loved Love's Pursuit, but this is the third one that has been a disappointment. I find the writing style strange. The author is trying to talk directly to you throughout, but it comes across as out-of-place and uncomfortable. I made it half way through and I'm so bored that I can't finish. "
— April, 2/17/2014" Three seamstresses in 1918 Boston dare to dream of a better life. "
— Debbie, 2/17/2014" A book I purchased for my Kinde... I think it was on sale for 2.99. I had read another book by this author and really enjoyed it. This was one good, but not as good as I remember the other one being. Pretty predictable, and it drug a bit in spots, but I did enjoy it. Three young immigrant women are working in a gown maker's shop in Boston, during World War I, when the Spanish influenza swept through, killing millions of people (more people than were killed in World War I). Good historical info that I hadn't really been all that aware of. "
— Stacy, 2/2/2014" I gave this book 87+ pages but could not get into it. Had to stop and move on. "
— Laura, 2/1/2014" I had wanted to read this before it came out. Through out the book there were times that my interest just wasn't there. By the end, however, I did really like it. "
— Haley, 1/31/2014" I started reading because I loved the way the author writes, but ended up finishing because I loved the characters. It is predictable, but so enjoyable to read that I didn't need a twist at the end. "
— Lynette, 1/20/2014" This is by far my favorite Siri Mitchell book. She is a great author. I liked the ending in this book better than her other ones I have read. "

— Shelly, 1/6/2014" This book was amazing! I picked it up at walmart at random one day. I've already let a friend of mine borrow the copy! It reads fast and I loved the characters. Excellent book! "
— Haleigh, 12/28/2013" I did not like this as much as Mitchell's book "She Walks in Beauty." It was a sweet story and an interesting fictional history of Italian immigrants in America, but I didn't completely identity with the characters. Not a bad read though. "
— Lyndsi, 12/24/2013" An engaging story that kept my interest. The author wove God throughout, but I did wish she had been a bit more evangelical in her presentation of HIm. Still, she did a good job of highlighting how He is foundational to our lives and the importance of forgiveness. "
— Acarrawa, 11/27/2013" Love this book! Great Italian, Sicilian history that is not often talked about! "
— Martha, 5/27/2013" I really liked this book! It was one of those ones that I randomly found at the library with no previous knowlege of it...such a treat when that happens!! There were multiple characters and yet I felt they all came to life and were satisfactorily developed. I would definitely recommend this book! "
— Rachel, 3/12/2013" The end seemed rushed; everything was tied up super fast. "
— Emyrose8, 9/14/2012" Maybe it's just me, but I was pretty bored with this one. After the first 100 pages, I just decided to skim through and read the end to see what happened. I'm just not willing to give time to books that haven't caught my interest after 100 pages :). "
— Kara, 2/25/2012" Difficult to get into, but worth the effort. "
— Salena, 1/8/2012" This was an enjoyable story about three girls who come from different backgrounds and end up working together at a dress shop. The author keeps us entertained with the way their lives become entwined. A good, solid story that I would recommend to others. "
