About the Authors
Maisey Yates is a New York Times bestselling author of over one hundred romance novels. Whether she is writing about strong, hard working cowboys, dissolute princes, or multigenerational family stories, she loves getting lost in fictional worlds. An avid knitter with a dangerous yarn addiction and an aversion to housework, she lives with her husband and three kids in rural Oregon.
Caitlin Crews discovered her first romance novel at the age of twelve and has since carried out her life-long love affair with the genre, much of which she insists on keeping near her at all times. She currently lives in California, with her animator/comic-book artist husband and their menagerie of ridiculous animals.
Nicole Helm is the author of down-to-earth contemporary romance novels and fast-paced romantic suspense, including the Navy SEAL Cowboy series. She writes stories about people finding themselves and stumbling into love in the process.
Jackie Ashenden lives in Auckland, New Zealand, with her husband, their two kids, and two cats. When she’s not torturing alpha males and their stroppy heroines, she can be found drinking chocolate martinis, reading anything she can lay her hands on, posting random crap on her blog, or being forced to go mountain biking with her husband.
Hans Christian Andersen (1805–1875) was born in Odense, Denmark, the son of a poor shoemaker and a washerwoman. As a young teenager, he became quite well known in Odense as a reciter of drama and as a singer. When he was fourteen, he set off for the capital, Copenhagen, determined to become a national success on the stage. He failed miserably, but made some influential friends in the capital who got him into school to remedy his lack of proper education. In 1829 his first book was published. After that, books came out at regular intervals. His stories began to be translated into English as early as 1846. Since then, numerous editions, and more recently Hollywood songs and Disney cartoons, have helped to ensure the continuing popularity of the stories in the English-speaking world.
About the Narrators
James Langton, an Earphones Award–winning narrator, trained as an actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and later as a musician at the Guildhall School in London. He has worked in radio, film, and television, also appearing in theater in England and on Broadway. He is also a professional musician who led the internationally renowned Pasadena Roof Orchestra from 1996 to 2002.
Samantha Cook is a bookaholic obsessed with novels about strong, sexy, smart women. Audiobook narrating was as natural a choice as breathing. When not recording in her LA studio, she can be found wandering the museums of Paris, imagining herself as a Degas dancer, Chateaubriand’s Atala, Canova’s Psyche, David’s Josephine, or Venus (preferably with arms intact).
