"This is a good book to read particularly around christmas time. It ushers in the mood and teaches some valuable lessons about keeping the spirit of christmas. It moves you with compassion and brings in a warm and welcome feeling of happiness and joy. Also, the movie is an absolute treat. Its word to word from the novel and a marvel in animation itself. Seeing the movie is akin to reading the novel, though I would prefer the latter. A short masterpiece by Charles Dicken. Ring in the spirit!!!"

" Every year I make it a point to either read or listen to Patrick Stewart's rendition of Charles Dickens' classic. I guess I started this back in the 1970s. It's a great part of Christmas to me. Any review of the book would be pointless, it's so good it transcends the need for reviews. "

" I'm glad that i picked this up to actually take a real read on it after having seen so many versions of movies, plays, tv specials, etc. Dickens really does a superb job of painting an vibrant picture of the times that cannot be reached by any amount of physical scenery. books > movies. "
