"We have started reading this series aloud to my five-year-old son, Ethan. He just eats this series up! When he wakes up in the morning he picks up these books and begs to be read to. The plot is simple, but exciting for young readers. There is nothing offensive in the writing, and it teaches some history and geography as well. There is a full page illustration in each chapter which keeps him engaged and interested. There is some vocabulary that I have to explain, but overall it's easy to understand. There are 40 books in this series and Ethan wants to read them all."
