Tim Champlin is an American writer who has authored over twenty Western novels. He was born in Fargo, North Dakota, and grew up in the western United States, where he wrote short stories and magazine articles before beginning to write longer works of fiction. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State in 1960 and earned his MA from Vanderbilt’s Peabody College in Nashville, Tennessee, four years later. From 1970–1994 he worked in the Veteran’s Administration in Nashville. His writing is sometimes attributed to John Michael Champlin. His novel The Secret of Lodestar was selected by the Western Writers of America as a finalist for a Spur Award. He currently resides in Georgia with his wife and children. |
