Robert C. Atkins Audio Books

Robert C. Atkins, MD, (1930–2003) was the founder and executive medical director of the Atkins Center for Complementary Medicine in New York City. A 1951 graduate of the University of Michigan, he received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical School in 1955 and went on to specialize in cardiology. In 1972, he published his groundbreaking weight-loss book, Diet Revolution—the first major work to prescribe a low-carbohydrate diet. It was followed in 1992 by the revised and updated Dr. Atkins’ New Diet Revolution, which spent more than three years on the New York Times bestseller list. Atkins was also the author of several books that promote nutritional medicine, including Dr. Atkins’ Quick & Easy New Diet Cookbook, Dr. Atkins’ Vita-Nutrient Solution: Nature’s Answer to Drugs, Dr. Atkins’ Age-Defying Diet Revolution, and Atkins for Life. He appeared on or was featured on Oprah, 20/20, Larry King Live, CBS Evening News, Sally Jessy Raphael, Dateline NBC, Today, Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, The View, and ABC World News, among others.
