Cofounder of Black Lives Matter and founder of Dignity and Power Now, she is also a performance artist, Fulbright scholar, a popular public speaker, and an NAACP History Maker. She has received many awards for activism and movement building, including being named one of the 100 World’s Greatest Leaders by Fortune magazine and as a Civil Rights Leader for the 21st Century by the Los Angeles Times.
