Maxwell Bodenheim (1892–1954) was an American novelist and poet living and working primarily in Chicago and New York City. For a time he was known as the “King of Greenwich Village Bohemians, and his writing was quite well known in the 1920s and 1930s. But in the following decades, his popularity rapidly diminished.
