Dr. Mary Briody Mahowald is professor emerita at the University of Chicago. Among her books are Women and Children in Health Care: An Unequal Majority, Disability, Difference, Discrimination, Genes, Women, Equality, and Bioethics and Women: Across the Life Span. She has been the principal investigator on grants from the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Energy; had fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the American Council of Learned Societies, and the Rockefeller Foundation; and served on the Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Integration Panel. |
