Helen Englehardt is a writer, storyteller, and independent audio artist. Her book The Longest Night: A Personal History of Pan Am 103 was named a Best Indie Book of 2014 by Kirkus Reviews. Never Again War: The Sacrifice of Käthe Kollwitz is her most recent work inspired by the life and art of the graphic artist and sculptor. She has written a stage play, performed in an original monologue meditation on the Die trauernden Eltern (The Grieving Parents), produced two audio documentaries about Käthe Kollwitz with Marjorie Van Halteren that are included in Coming Home to Us: A Trilogy of Love, Loss & Healing (a 2013 Audie Award finalist), and published an article, “The Jewish Connections of Käthe Kollwitz” in the magazine Jewish Currents. |
