Don Zancanella is an author best known for his short fiction, including his collection Western Electric, winner of the Simmons/Iowa Short Fiction Award, and “The Chimpanzees of Wyoming Territory,” winner of the O. Henry Prize. “Mr. Dog” was cited as a distinguished story of the year in the 2019 Best American Short Stories anthology, and “Feed Them” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. He was born in Laramie, Wyoming, and taught at the University of New Mexico. He lives in Boise, Idaho. |
