Glenn “Bo” Schembechler, Jr. (1929–2006) was an American football player, coach, and athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at Miami University from 1963–1968 and at the University of Michigan from 1969–1989, compiling a career record of 234–65–8. He is a six-time Big Ten Coach of the Year and has won AFCA Coach of the Year, MAC Coach of the Year, the George Munger Award, and others. He is the author of numerous books, including the New York Times bestseller Bo. His other works include Bo’s Lasting Lessons: The Legendary Coach Teaches the Timeless Fundamentals of Leadership, Tradition: Bo Schembechler’s Michigan Memories, and The Heart of a Champion. |
