Publisher Description

When I was little I believed in Jesus and Santa, spontaneous combustion, and the Loch Ness monster. Now I believe in science, statistics, and antibiotics.' So says seventeen-year-old Zac Meier during a long, grueling leukemia treatment in Perth, Australia. A loud blast of Lady Gaga alerts him to the presence of Mia, the angry, not-at-all-stoic cancer patient in the room next door. Once released, the two near-strangers can't forget each other, even as they desperately try to resume normal lives. The story of their mysterious connection drives this unflinchingly tough, tender novel told in two voices.

About the Narrators

Kristin Condon began dancing from a young age. She later found her niche onstage after her family moved to Massachusetts and she began studying and performing with Boston Ballet and Ballet Theatre of Boston. Dancing eventually led her to acting and an MFA from the University of Southern California and beyond. Kristin’s first movie role was in Being John Malkovich, in which she played a ballet dancer—not a huge stretch! She has since gone on to appear in several films and TV shows, and has recorded several audiobooks including Ashlynn’s Dreams by Julie Gilbert and Zac and Mia by AJ Betts.

Nick Mondelli is an actor, poet, and accomplished audiobook narrator from Northwest Ohio. He has narrated a wide range of titles, from My Antonia by Willa Cather to Phantom Limbs by Paula Garner, which AudioFile magazine called, “a sensitive, expressive performance.” Nick graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Toledo before moving to Los Angeles.
