" I read the whole series of gossip girl. I loved these books when I was in high school. They definitely are a read for older kids, may not be appropriate fro thise of a younger age. However, it is definitely a good read that keeps you turning the page. "

" I already did a book report on this book! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Amber Hartley | 1/31/2014

" I actually like the show way better than the books. The books are pretty over the top and melodramatic, although this won't stop me from reading them. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Erin | 1/26/2014

" Definitely more entertaining than the first one! Xoxo! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Kami | 1/26/2014

" More of the same. Again an entertaining quick read. As I read it I was envisioning the actors of the show as the characters and comparing and contrasting the story in the book with the one on the show. In this book, at the end Jenny is with Nate, Dan is with Vanessa and Blaire and Serena are friends again and end up together after their prospective dates go off with someone else. I am a fan of this series, and will no doubt read more of it. I am also a fan of the television show. "

    " Seriously. I'm a dork "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Susan | 1/20/2014

" Liked the first book, had watched the first season (mostly) on reruns. I read this a while ago, but remember feeling that it was just not... for me. But I'm much older than the crowd it's marketed for, so that was probably the issue. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Jen | 4/24/2013

" A bit more then the show. I just wish they were a little bit longer. If I was waiting for the next one to come out I would be upset with waiting this long to hear just a little bit. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Alicia | 12/20/2012

" Serena and Blair hate each other. Blairs mom is getting remarried, nd Blair hates him. Blairs pissed b/c she loves nate her boyfriend, who cheated on her for serena the summer before serena goes to boarding school. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Laura | 10/19/2012

" Entertaining and trashy but I actually think I'd enjoy this more in tv show format, which is something I'd never typically say about a book. (I guess that means this is a soap opera.) "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Amanda | 5/6/2012

" 3.5, but better than the first one "

" i h8 gg, not that ive read it or anything............ hehe "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Jenn | 3/16/2012

" Meh. Still no plot and the storyline is weak and dull. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Allyson (Belle) | 2/28/2012

" I'm forever a Blair fan, so this one is definitely NOT one of my favorites in the series since her life is pretty much destroyed. I hate that so many bad things have to happen to her, they should be happening to Serena. I really can't stand her in the books (she's a little bit better on the show). "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Terri | 11/23/2011

" The second book in the series re. the goings on of Blair, Serena, Nate, Dan et. al. Lots of drama and silly entertainment. Very quick read. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Kaytrina | 10/20/2011

    " AGAIN...HARD TO READ!!! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Monica | 10/3/2011

" Don't ask me why, but I love these books. It may seem a little "ya know" but I think they're great.<3 "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Helen Casey | 7/29/2011

" I really disliked this book. Perhaps I love the TV show so much that thee differences annoyed. Perhaps it was the constant smoking and drugs and foul language. Perhaps it was the characters were really annoying. More than likely it was all of the above :) "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Nilofer | 6/30/2011

" The second installment continued with the series...Dan is still mooning over Serena, Blake is still hot and heavy about Nate etc. If you want to c how the characters compare to the series, then read the book, otherwise if you weren't a fan of the first book, this one won't make you a fan either... "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jennifer (JSweetieXO) | 6/6/2011

" I liked this one a little more than the first. Interesting to see how things went differently in the book than on the show. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Marla | 3/16/2011

" It's hard for me to call this series a love story, but there is some boy-girl relationships, starting and ending. This book doesn't seem like a stand-alone book to me, more of another chapter or episode in the lives of the young, beautiful, ultra rich and callous. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Sofia710 | 3/6/2011

" i really like the tv show gossip girl, so i thought i would try out and read the book. i really like how in the book they express the characters more then in the show. overall, i do like the show better, but the book's good too. "
