The finale to the New York Times bestselling Secret Series!
I always feared this day would come. A secret is meant to stay secret, after all. And now we've come to this: the fifth and final (I swear!) book in my saga of secrets.
A class trip to the local natural history museum turns dangerous, or perhaps deadly--and I don't mean in the bored-to-death way--when Cass accidentally breaks a finger off a priceless mummy. Forced to atone for this ""crime"" of vandalism, Cass and her friends Max-Ernest and Yo-Yoji go to work for the mummy exhibit's curator, only to be blamed when tragedy strikes. To clear their names--and, they hope, to discover the Secret--the trio must travel deep into a land of majestic pyramids, dusty tombs, mysterious hieroglyphs, and the walking dead. Egypt? Or somewhere much stranger . . .
In the midst of it all, the Secret still lurks. You're out there, reading and talking about it, and now my life--and chocolate supply--is in the greatest danger yet. So please, with a cherry on top, I'm begging you: you have to stop this!

“The full-cast narration is splendid, with each narrator attempting to outdo the others…There are several amusing comments about audio books as the story begins, and the audio format enhances the superior writing…An entertaining listening experience, this production also offers many fascinating details on Egyptian history in an easy-to-digest manner.”
— AudioFile“Readers who followed the children in previous escapades know what to expect: quirky humor, light suspense, and magic. No disappointments here.”
— Booklist" This book is the end of a great series that keeps you reading more and more. D.M. "

— Src, 1/30/2014" My son was looking for a good mystery book so I found this book recommended by our library. It has some cute gimmicks to draw kids in but seems like a cross between Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and the Red Pyramid (which I could not finish). The characters are cute. The story is not just plot and the situations somewhat believable. The story tells of three kids who hunt down a missing mummy. There are a few other smaller threads which come from this book being part of a series. The mystery element is a bit lacking however. "
— Natalie, 1/19/2014" The "Secret" kind of ruined it. "
— Tsejin, 1/18/2014" absolutely the best book in the series! "
— Maari, 1/15/2014" I love this book series with all my heart. What more can I say? "
— Sirisha, 1/15/2014" Took a long time but in this book i finally figure out the secret! "
— Monkeys, 1/9/2014" I love these books! Cass, Max-Ernest, and Yo-Yoji embark on yet another adventure to find the secret. "
— Rhiannon, 12/29/2013" Not a very good ending to the series, it end with a cliff hanger. "
— Caitlin, 12/20/2013" The eicconclusion toward a long read series! "
— Andrew, 12/6/2013" The secret is revealed in this book. It is something like the classic Chicken joke. "
— Daniel, 11/24/2013" What a way to end the series. although quieter in tone to the other books it finished it off really well. :) "
— Georgia, 9/9/2013" This was really funny. The secret series starts out strong only to get worse with each new book. Mr.Bosch had a pretty good comeback in this book though. "
— Monkeyduels, 8/26/2013" Good book and i think everyone should read it. "
— M21koff, 8/9/2013" aaaaamazing x) "
— Risu, 4/6/2013" I couldn't finish this book. I got about half way through and lost interest. I enjoyed the others much more than this one. "
— Julianne, 1/27/2013" ASDFGHJKL IT'S OVEEEEEEEER D: "
— Alaina, 6/23/2012" The draw of this series isn't so much the plot (which can meander shamelessly), but Bosch's charming cast of characters, who feel from the first book like people you know. "
— Seth, 6/5/2012" Enjoyed very much and i like the ending. "
— Susan, 3/12/2012" An ending. "
— Flower, 12/8/2011" While this book isn't as strong as books 2-4, it was a good ending to the series. Hopefully, my son will read them because I think he'd rather enjoy them! "
— Amy, 12/1/2011" i think that bosch should've included more from the past like what about the monocle and the tuning fork and max ernests little brother???? "
— winston, 11/29/2011" A fun adventure, and though the Secret was a bit abmiguous, it worked and I was happy "
— Farah, 11/6/2011" Loved how it left u on the edge of ur seat the entire time. Gr8 read.. loved it!! "
— Kaylee, 10/8/2011" This book is really good but the ending leaves you wondering. Hopefully he may write another book but he says it's the last one.
"
— Cullen, 10/4/2011" I was disappointed in the way the series ends. Weird! I liked the adventure in this book and it was okay. It just wasn't wrapped up very well. "
— Tiffany, 10/4/2011" Just finished this and it's wonderful. Some surprising things happened "
— Eme, 10/4/2011" Lame ending. The rest of the books in this story were fine - for quirky kids's books. But, if you don't have a great ending in mind for a 5-book series, please don't waste my time. "
— Adriane, 10/4/2011" This book had a good ending, but a shocking secret. I mean, we all know the authors humor, but did he have to have that type of secret? The answer is no.
"
— Kirsten, 9/11/2011" It's pretty good. The Secret was disappointing. Also, I kind of had to re-read it a couple times before I actually understood it. "
— Farah, 5/7/2011Pseudonymous Bosch is the anonymous pseudonymous author of the Secret Series. Not much is known about him other than that he has a passionate love of chocolate and cheese and an equally passionate hatred of mayonnaise. Rumors of Boschian sightings are just as frequent and about as reliable as reports of alien abductions. If you ever meet anyone claiming to be Pseudonymous himself he is almost certainly an impostor. The real Pseudonymous is said currently to be hiding in a cave in a remote jungle (although there are contrary reports that he is somewhere in Greenland).
