"I think this is one of the best Urban Fantasy/paranormal books out there, i don't want to post a long review because i dont want to give anything away but i do however wish the ending was different.. I really really wish that someone who died hadnt died.. :("

" I like a good urban fantasy with a kick ass heroine and world building that goes beyond the normal fantasy. This series has all these things and started off great. However, I like a story arc that stands alone, despite a series set within it. I made it thru the entire book before I realized that I was not going to be happy about the way this ends because watching the heroine be miserable and conflicted is just what happens in urban fantasy right now... So. Frustrating! I admit that I am picky about my endings! I want a happy one but I don't need things to be wrapped in a pretty pink bow. I just feel tired of this "series of unfortunate events" trend that so many urban fantasy series follow, Succubus Blues, Spider's Bite, Chicagoland Vampires, Magic Bites, Anita Blake the list goes on. I realize some of these series came out before Twilight, which I think is part of the reason I am unsure why that series is so popular, but really, why must women suffer in order to obtain love!? Maybe I've been watching too much Nostalgia Chick lately. I know I am going to read the next few in this series to see where it goes, if only because the magic/science mixture is intriguing. But really..... End rant. "

— Maghon, 10/15/2013" There were some things I really liked about this book -- it was a little William Gibson-y at times, for example -- still, I didn't find myself sucked in the way I do at times. I'll probably read book 2 in this series eventually. "
— Janet, 10/11/2013" Enjoyable read. I really like the world Saintcrow has createdfor this. One thing though, I want more Japhrimal..... "
— Jordana, 9/10/2013" 3.5 stars, but only because Dante is such a bitch. "
— Maja, 8/3/2013" Too typical story with too typical plot twists, which were idiotic and dull when I saw them for first time, but now they are more annoying than anything else. "
