Publisher Description

My name is Addison Holmes, and I teach history at James Madison High School in Whiskey Bayou, Georgia. You might be under the assumption that my life went to the dogs when my fiancé left me at the altar for the home economics teacher, or when I got notice that my apartment building was going to be condemned, or even when I was desperate enough to strip to my unmentionables to earn some extra cash. The truth is that I'm pretty much used to disasters following me around on a daily basis, but I could have gone without finding my principal dead in the parking lot of a seedy gentlemen's club.

After the initial shock of finding my first dead body, which included throwing back shots of Jack Daniels like it was water, I decided to take stock of my life. I was in a desperate situation and if the school board ever found out I'd been a stripper, even a bad stripper, I'd be jobless as well as fiancé-less and homeless.

Fortunately, I had a friend who felt sorry enough for me to give me a job doing some surveillance work at her detective agency. Not to mention the fact that I was now able to stick my nose into other people's business for a good cause, find a murderer, and pick up helpful tips from an incredibly attractive detective. Come check out my story and be thankful your life is relatively normal.

"Oh my goodness, this book had my side in stitches from laughing so much!! Loved every moment of Addison's crazy adventures. I thought I was bad with the whole clumsy/bad luck thing, hahaha!! Oh Nick always seeming to come in the picture to add more fire to Addison's sarcastic personality, they were at some points way to much to handle (laughing wise) and boy the sexual tension!! I love my a hard ass cop, overbearing, protective cop in a story....just makes it all the more yummy and specially when he is as hot as he is. I really recommend that you pick up this book and read, it is great and the writing is wonderful. I am thoroughly enjoying the books I have read by Liliana Hart, and looked forward to reading more by her....Already bought the second book "Whiskey Sour" b/c just can't enough of Addison and Nick!!!"

" This was a fun read! I loved the Georgia setting and the author is descriptive enough that it makes you feel as though you're really there. Addison is a comedy of bad luck - some of it self made - and I love her determination, spirit, and optimism. The story is well written and the mystery is believable and kept me guessing until all was revealed at the end. The romance aspect of the book was fun as well and it wasn't overdone and nauseating. All in all, it was a light fun read that left me with a smile on my face and wanting more. "
