Ellen Goldberg grew up in Ohio, then moved to New Jersey with her husband, where she taught second grade until the birth of her two sons. A stay-at-home mom, volunteer, founder, and officer of various charities and organizations, Ellen was often asked to write roasts and toasts for friends and family members for their special occasions. She began a career in publishing and copywriting after raising her sons and moving to Manhattan. She is an avid traveler, theatergoer, food enthusiast, and grandmother of three beautiful girls.

Joette Waters grew up in Los Angeles and began acting at the age of fifteen.
