Juliet's been in hiding. From her family, from her broken life, but most of all from the fact that Ben's not around anymore. Her mother Diane has run out of advice. But then she insists Juliet looks after her elderly Labrador and it becomes apparent that Coco the dog might actually be the one who can rescue her daughter. Especially when it leads to her walking dogs for a few other locals too, including a spaniel, Damson, who belongs to a very attractive man. Before she knows it, Juliet realizes she has somehow become the town's unofficial pet-sitter. A job which makes her privy to the lives and secrets of everyone whose animals she's caring for.

"This took me a bit longer to like than Lost Dogs and Lonely Hearts, but I ended up loving it. Same setting, new characters, still lots of dogs. The writing is solid, the plot moves along well, and the eventual romance made me more fluttery than I'd normally be. I can't wait to read her next one."

“Warm, fluffy and fun.”
— Cosmopolitan“Dillon does an excellent job of conveying the depths of her character’s loss without letting the story grow tedious. The characters are charming and real.”
— Publishers Weekly" Unique way of dealing with grief, walking her own and other people's dogs. "

— Barbara, 6/6/2013" This is a nice, light read. Predictable, but sometimes, when done well enough, that's what I need. I want nice people who have some problems, but sort them out and live happily ever after. If there is a dog, or dogs, and also set in the UK, all the better! "
— Debbe, 4/13/2013" I really liked this book. Fairly predictable, but an enjoyable read. Made all the more better for having a dog of my own, I felt I could relate to the story better, definitely towards the end of the book. It made me cry!! Be warned! "
