Listener Opinions

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Judy | 2/20/2014

" Just way too busy -- no time for her family, no time for friends who need her, no time to do any good when she gets involved with various meetings, committees, etc. It takes an accident for Rose to realize that she is not indispensable but that she has been denying her family and their needs. A good lesson in learning to not do too much because you might not be doing what is necessary!!! Another free download to my Kindle. "

" While I appreciate the overall message of this book(slow down and enjoy the true meaning of Christmas), the writing was just ok and the story didn't grab me. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Krystal | 2/6/2014

" Cheesey little Christmas story. It was very fast and easy to read but had little depth to it. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Katie Casey | 1/28/2014

" A nice short Christmas read. I could really relate to the main character and her busy life style. Helped me to remember to slow down a little for Christmas and all year long... "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 ♥Meagan♥ | 1/7/2014

" Trying to find a good Christmas story, and yet another religious one. Being nonreligious myself, this one was a bit harder to like. I can see how a religious person might find it to be an uplifting and inspiring story, though. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Leah (packfan20) | 12/29/2013

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Lillie | 8/6/2013

" I think many Christian women can identify with Rose. We want to do so many things that we forget how to say "No," and we end up doing too many important things poorly and neglecting even more important things. A quick, easy read with a reminder of God's message: "Be still and know that I am God." "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Kim | 7/4/2013

" A beautiful reminder that we need to step back and RELAX - God had plans, and they don't include us working so hard we kill ourselves. Hmmm... maybe I should take this to heart ... when I find ONE job that works!!! "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Catherine Coffman | 4/6/2013

" This was a nice holiday story, and seemed really relevant to my overly busy life, but the religious undertones got a little much at times. The story also seemed a bit choppy, it didn't always flow well, but it was absolutely worth reading. "
