Publisher Description

One-night stand + two percent condom failure rate = happily ever after?

Bar owner Kevin Kowalski is used to women throwing their phone numbers at him, but lately he's more interested in finding a woman to settle down with. A woman like Beth Hansen. If only their first meeting hadn't gone so badly....

Beth's tending bar at a wedding when she comes face-to-face with a tuxedo-clad man she never thought she'd see again. She tries to keep her distance from Kevin but, by last call, she can't say no to his too-blue eyes or the invitation back to his room. Then she slips out before breakfast without leaving a note and, despite their precautions, pregnant.

Kevin quickly warms to the idea of being a dad and to seeing where things go with Beth. After all, he's not the player she thinks he is. But she's not ready for a relationship and, given his reputation, it's going to take a lot to convince her to go on a second date with the father of her child.

"This is the second book in the Kowalski Family series by Shannon Stacy. Beth and Kevin have a one night stand and Beth leaves, thinking she'll never see Kevin again. At least, that's her intention. She has plans to move on to another town but finds herself pregnant instead. It was good but not great. I didn't care for the heroine, Beth, at all. I guess I should give her points for at least telling Kevin he was going to be a father but she just made me so mad with her stubborn behavior. I prefer the secondary romance between Paulie and Sam much more. I did like Kevin a lot. But I was rooting for him to find someone who would appreciate him."

" This book left me with a big case of the warm fuzzies!! Kevin was so stinkin' sweet! I understood how Beth felt, but I do think so hung on a little long. I love this whole family and the epilogue was fantastic! "

" OK, I think I've found me a new author to read... fun story, watching Kevin come to terms with impending fatherhood as Beth alters her independent mindset to accommodate the baby, but not Kevin or his family. Even though I was frustrated by Beth's behavior, I could understand it. Seriously loved Kevin, though! "

" This book was really cute. I am in love with the Kowalski family. Apparently the Kowalski men know how to make a woman weak in the knees. While I wanted to tell Beth she was being stupid in many parts of the book, I absolutely love how it ended! A must read, in conjunction with the others :) "

" I wasn't completely impressed. I just barely liked it to be honest. The whole novel was so long and complicated when it didn't need to be. It felt so drawn out and boring at times I could barely stay interested. "

" I liked it but Beth began to annoy me after awhile as she jsut kep making up these random excuses of why they couldn't be together, i loved Kevin though; especially with Lilly :) "

" I really, really loved the first book in this series and thought Kevin was a great all around guy in this one. But Beth, Beth and her independence and doubting and making Kevin jump through way too many hoops, well, she just got on my nerves. "

" I liked the story line, Although I was over Beth being so stubborn. It was redundant. Though Kevin's character was a mix of sweet and a bad boy image! There are 5 books in this series focusing on different members of the KowaIski family...I will be getting those book ASAP!! "

" Seriously? I am soooo disappointed after the first book. This heroine is a complete nightmare!!! Honestly, I couldn't even enjoy the book because of the heroine's personality/trust issues/idiocacy!! I think the author overdid it on the angst, but, hey, she's published and I'm not. "
