Publisher Description

Dear Your Majesty the Queen,

I need to speak to you urgently about my brother Luke. He's got cancer and the doctors in Australia are being really slack. If I could borrow your top doctor for a few days I know he/she would fix things up in no time. Of course Mum and Dad would pay his/her fares even if it meant selling the car or getting a loan. Please contact me at the above address urgently.

Yours sincerely

Colin Mudford

"I really enjoyed reading this book, its very emotional and has a twist to it. Who would suspect a kid would THINK he could go to the queen and just ask her for something (don't want to spoil it). This book deserves 4 stars and I think is a must read for kids."

" This book to me is okay because i read the blurb and it kinda ruined the story because it said that the little brother had cancer. To me personally i don't really like these types of genre . "

" Although I loved Gleitzman's other books, this one was ridiculous. It was unrealistic and silly. As a former middle school teacher, I know my students would not have liked this rad. "

" I loved this book a lot. I really sympathised for Colin, I felt so sorry for him. The whole book he's denying the truth and then when the doctor tells him it's for real he just breaks down, it's so sad. Definitely a heart wrencher! "
