— Sally, 2/2/2013" A strong YA novel that touches on some great themes like ecological responsibility. Unfortunately, like most YA Lit, this book fails to delve too deeply into any issue instead choosing to focus on plot. A good read with likable stock characters. Perfect for 4th-8th graders. "
— Julian, 1/8/2013" it was a really great book:) "
— Prerona3, 9/10/2012" Still one of my all-time favorites. "
— Theresa, 6/21/2012" Bittersweet. I wish this were an adults' book so that everything could be more fleshed out, but it's probably more charming and mysterious as it is. "
— Elfear, 6/16/2012" Excellent - charming characters "
— Karen, 4/20/2012" A lovely story that makes you think. A family is granted eternal life. This is the story of how they cope. Immortality isn't as great as it seems! I taught this in middle school, where it generated lots of good discussion. I read it again to my class this year. "
— Beth, 3/31/2012" This novel is about a drink that can make you live forever! Throughout the book readers are forced to see this as both a positive and negative thing to happen to someone. I read this when I was younger and loved it so much I even went to see the movie with my class! "
