"I was able to get the first three copies of the Demon Underground series through Netgalley as a package deal, "Bite Me", "Try Me", and "Fang Me". I believe the fourth book, "Make Me" is supposed to come out sometime in Spring, 2012. I actually really enjoyed the series. When I first got the books, and I saw the titles and also the fact that the main character, Val, is supposed to be a 1/8 succubus demon (lust demon), I thought for sure, this would be one of those urban fantasy, erotic books. It actually wasn't. If I gave it a rating, I'd mostly give it a PG 15... definitely in the YA range. It deals with lust, yes, but mostly in how the main character battles to control it. I mostly loved the interactions between Val, and her canine companion, Fang. I loved how the main character is confident, smart, and doesn't take crap from anyone... even those she loves. She's a kick-ass protagonist who uses her brains just as much as her brawn (or stake, as is the case). Yes, some of the story lines were relatively easy to predict, but the journey to get to the conclusion of each book was really fun, regardless. I liked how the author was able to kind of switch up the love interest in a pretty natural way... it definitely spiced up the books. And since my ARC also provided me with the 1st chapter of the 4th book as a preview, I am getting the feeling that the love interest is going to change once again (or if not, certainly add some competition)."
