Publisher Description

The siege of Troy has lasted almost ten years. Inside the walled city, food is becoming scarce and the death toll is rising. From the heights of Mount Olympus, the gods keep watch. But Aphrodite, goddess of love, is bored with the endless, dreary war, and so she turns her attention to two sisters: Marpessa, who is gifted with god-sight and serves as handmaiden to Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world; and Xanthe, who is kind and loving and tends the wounded soldiers in the Blood Room. When Eros fits an arrow to his silver-lit bow and lets it fly, neither sister will escape its power. With vitality and grace, Adèle Geras breathes personality, heartbreak and humor into this classic story, told through the eyes of the women of Troy.

"The story of Troy, except the main characters are minor characters. Love this book. This book has romance, murder, suspense, and GODS!!! It's a good book except for one line of dialogue. Like serious it like dialogue that no one says. But i love the book and i gave it 2 thumbs up "

" This is pretty good. But it includes several suggestive chapters that have to do with S-E-X. But includes a complicated plot to do with the Trojan War. If you like romance mixed with history then this is for you.Oh be prepared for, BLOOD and GUTS "

" I think it would have been better written for adults rather then young adults - it was cheesy and too dramatic at points, but anybody who has studied the Trojan War at some point would appreciate this book. It provided a worthy and alternate viewpoint to many of the characters in the Iliad. "
