Claude M. Bristol (1891-1951) was the author of several bestselling self-help books. A journalist for many years, he developed his views on the power of thought and belief before beginning his book writing career. His best known book, The Magic of Believing, was published in 1948 with the aim of helping ex-service men and women adjust to civilian life.
