"I would love the illustrations in this one to win the Caldecott award. Unfortunatly, though the story was well written it just did not stand up to the quality of the drawings. I did like the idea that when we colonize Mars there will be martians there to enjoy it with us. Ages 6+ "

" Stellar illustrations and more advanced text for a picture book. Davey's in search of things to do on Mars, with his robot dog Polaris in tow. A gorgeous book with a great story. "

" Gall is an amazing illustrator but I can't say that I fell in love with the story of this book as much as I did with his gorgeous "Dear Fish." I would recommend that with absolutely no reservations. "
