" Boarding school story + ghost story + Lord Byron mystery = great fun. "

" Though not "scary," I found this book to have its creepy moments here and there. Justin Evans is indeed a fantastic writer. Andrew Taylor, an American sent to a British boarding school due to previous behavioral issues in America, discovers he has a strange connection to school's ghost. As Andrew attempts to uncover his connection with the spirit, it only become more malevolent - hurting those Andrew gets closer to. This was definitely an interesting read though I didnt completely love the story. I am not disappointed that I read it. If I could, I'd probably bump this up to 3.5 stars. "

" Absolutely loved this book, I was on the edge of my seat whilst reading. The plot is fab, a perfect example of the ghost story genre. The characters are good. I thought at first it was a teen book due to the age of the protagonists but due to the nature of the story and the language I thinkits definitely adult! I really enjoyed it and didn't read through to the end because I enjoyed it so much and didn't want to spoil it! "

" It's not as scary as I would have thought, but it's still an interesting read. I do like books that try to solve mysteries from the past. "

" Sterlingcindysu lent me this ARC-thanks! This is a good mildly scary read mixing a gothic setting with a modern vibe with some spice, given its link to Byron. The author does a good job with setting a mood, painting a picture of the place and giving you some feeling for the characters. Could get picky about the rating in regards to the ending I might have chosen, but in the end I give the author credit for a couple evenings enjoyable read and a window into another world. "
