"I love Georgette Heyer. And clearance sales that let me get a cheap copy of one of my favorites, also neat. Lovely characters and a truly hysterically funny climax to assorted plots, all neatly tied together at the end. Only, I can't figure out how to describe any of them without giving some of the funny away. So... funny regency romance. Everyone should read. Especially if you like Bujold's A Civil Campaign, as she credits Heyer for the inspiration."

" Rating 3.5 i enjoyed this story better than The Old Shades but not as much as The Grand Sophy. Sometimes I feel I am reading a foreign language but that is part of the charm, I suppose. I plan to read more of her books but need some time before I do so I can appreciate the books more. "

" Light gothic romance fiction, among my Mom's favorites. Considerably better than the average gothic romance. Some of them are more like historical fiction, such as Simon the Coldheart. I read them from time to time when I was growing up. "
