Katherine Cowley is the author of the historical mystery series The Secret Life of Miss Mary Bennet. The first novel was nominated for the 2022 Mary Higgins Clark Award. Her blog, Jane Austen Writing Lessons, was selected by The Write Life as one of the 100 best websites for writers in 2021. Her obsession with Jane Austen began at age eleven, and she has always wondered what more there was to Mary’s character. She is a writing instructor at Western Michigan University.
