A shocking act of terror brings the Middle East to the point of explosion. As the resulting political conflict threatens to erupt, a young Jewish American lawyer joins the defense team of an arrested but possibly innocent Palestinian. Soon the lawyer's father, a famed criminal attorney, must win the Palestinian's case or risk losing his daughter forever. To do so, he must take into account the tormented history of the Holy Land from every possible angle.

"Very good book! I was quite surprised to see a fictional book by Alan Dershowitz and after completing it, I have to say it was a very good read with a lot of thought placed into the plot. It is a legal thriller meets spy world. Highly recommend!"
— Ty (5 out of 5 stars)
A solid display of Dershowitz's legal chops.
— Kirkus" I could not finish this book. The dialogue between characters is so forced and unnatural that often times when two characters were speaking to each other I felt embarrassed for the author. "
— Brimorse, 3/11/2013" I was not impressed...Dershowitz supposedly has some good novels, this was definitely not one of them. "
— Ivan, 2/4/2013" I flew through this book and read it in almost one sitting. Good suspense/thriller about a terrorist attack in the Middle East. I actually figured out part of the conspiracy. "
— Tyra, 9/21/2012" Who knew he could write fiction? Dershowitz hit it out of the park. "
— Shoshana, 4/11/2012" I didn't realize it was possible to make a book about kidnapping, vast terrorist plots and legal precedence boring, but apparently it is. Dershowitz needs to stick to non-fiction. "
— Josh, 11/23/2011" So good I couldn't put it down for the first 200 pages. The last 100 went more slowly, but still very good. It was a great look into Israeli culture. "
