"I'm coming to realize Jill Shalvis just doesn't disappoint :) Amazing, funny, believable banter, a great family dynamic (improved even from the first book in this series, I think) between sisters, an *incredibly* hot hero (seriously...I want Ford for Christmas please. Okay. Any day will do. Good Lord almighty, the man is just...WOW), and a bittersweet past/backstory made this one a winner. Great, fun read!"

" It's small town charming. Mediocre at best. The hero character is really hot but the story dragged on forever. It's like the author couldn't decide on how else to solve their so-called conflict. Took them half the book to say ILY when other typical books it would only take them quarter of a book to solve the conflict. "

" What a cute read. I loved the romance.... Not too ronchy but just enough. Can't wait to read the others in the series. "

" 3-3.5 Stars. Summer vacation is coming and I am low on words. The Sweetest Thing was a good read, but I loved Simply Irresistible (Book 1) and this one fell short for me. The heroine was not lovable although she did grow on me and though Ford was quite a stud I wanted him to love her so much and chase after her the first time they split. At the beginning of the story, the "let's just have sex and be casual" didn't fit, too much history that it was almost insulting. There were some big secrets revealed, but I felt like they were dealt with too casually and almost unrealistic... more pain and conflict was needed. I did enjoy the book and read it in a day, but it did kill a little momentum for me in the series. I did love the connection between Tara and Chloe, they played off each other very well. Also I am not feeling the connection between Chloe and Sawyer which book 3 will be about, hopefully the book delivers some good stuff. "

" I did enjoy this story with all its intriguing complications. It had a real sense of emotional growth in multiple family relationships and the facebook part was so funny. Cook Tara stays in town to help her sisters at their inn and tries to confront her past with sailor Ford. "

" I read the second book in this series only because I had already gotten it from PBS. Although it is an enjoyable series, I think I would have liked it a lot more about 20 years ago! Not enough meat in it for me....or maybe too much!! HaHa "

" Okay so as far as romance novels go it was a good story. The reason I only gave it 2 stars was because I found that some of the dialogue was a repeat from book 1 and the description of the leading man in this book was almost identical (or far too similar) to the leading man in the first book. " Really liked this one. I actually liked Tara more than Maddie. She was more assertive and felt less wishy washy. Ford was so sexy. I loved Mia & hope to see more of her. "

" Cute and sweet continuation of the Lucky Harbor series starring Tara and Ford. BTW, I love the men's names in these -- Jax, Ford, and Sawyer! I cannot WAIT for Chloe and Sawyer's story... I think it will be the sweetest story yet! "

" Lots of humor, good characters, hot romance, and good setting. What's not to like? Somehow liked the first a bit better I think. But maybe it's just that I liked the heroine better in the first. Definitely need to be read in order. Can't wait for the third book. "
