" The first book of a series that I think had been overlooked. While I will admit that the language is a bit dated and the gender roles of some of the adult women are a bit rigid, Trixie, the character to which the reader would relate, clearly sees those boundaries as malleable and optional. I think for a more mature young girl who is a bit young for Nancy Drew, Trixie is a good starter series. She's a tomboy from a middle class family that hangs out with a socio-econmically mixed crowd who has faults and immature behaviors many young girls can see in themselves that she handles well. There is also a running theme of social responsibility and conciousness that I think is sorely lacking in much of youth literature presently. Certainly not literature for the ages, but it's still a lovely series. "

" Tassy and I read this together. Oh what wholesome clean writing they did back in the fifties. :) I was disappointed that there wasn't more of a mystery, but it wasn't too bad. "

" A very interesting book! It is perfect for people interested in mysteries. I like how Honey get's rid of her cowardness and turns into a brave girl. Really very interesting!!!! "

" I loved these books as a kid. So much better than silly, spoiled, prissy Nancy Drew. Trixie Belden was way cooler. "
