Publisher Description

A devastating plague continues to rage through the land of Muirwood, and all hope is laid at the feet of the young woman Lia. Called as a magical protector, Lia volunteers to embark on one last quest to rescue the squire Colvin, her great love, and his pupil, the alleged heir to the fallen kingdom of Pry-Ree. Undaunted by injuries, Lia sets off across land and sea warning the kingdom of the great plague that is upon them. The arduous journey leads her to the doors of Dochte Abbey, where her friends are supposedly held. However, a fallen enemy lies in wait for Lia, as well as an unbearable new truth. The revelation will pit Lia’s deepest desires against the fate of her enchanted world.

Fantastically epic and endlessly engaging, The Scourge of Muirwood is the monumental finale to the Legends of Muirwood trilogy.

"I'm being generous with my four star rating on this the third book of the Muirwood trilogy. I really liked the trilogy, all three books were page turners. But I confess, like some other reviewers of this last book, I did not care for the end where women are the destroyer of mankind. There's enough evil in both men and women that one sex does not have to carry the burden of being the evil destroyer. The evil women luring all those innocent men into a blight snare...that just didn't work for me."

" I thought this a great end to the series. I enjoyed this book as much as the first... And while I still have something of an issue with the main character's apparent maturity given her age, I still enjoyed the story a great deal. "

" Enjoyed the "flashbacks" with the Prince as it brought everything together well. I did think that the Blight would have had more of an immediate effect but still a very good trilogy. "

" This trilogy finished strong. I enjoyed it through the end. What tough decisions have to be made, but I really loved how this ended with making the right decisions no matter how difficult it became. We have to have faith to make it through our trials to be able to enjoy the blessings. "

" I really liked the first two books in the trilogy. But this final installment offended me. The evil beings responsible for all evil and destruction are women. Men who do evil only do it because they are possessed or tricked by these evil women. The titular scourge is an STD. Not cool. "

" As with the first two of the trilogy, the strength was in the plot first, characters second. The exposition was often clumsily done, but the ending was satisfying. "

" This one takes some different twists. Good, but prob. not as good as the other two in my opinion. Liked the ending, in the end, but felt like a long route getting to the good ending. Still a good book and a good read, but liked the first two better. "

" Once again, a good story, but the comparisons to LDS theology were a bit much for me. It felt like he was fantasizing the religion to a certain extent. And as it is my religion, that wasn't okay with me. "

" I enjoyed this book but I wish the last portion of the book had been interwoven into the story, rather than the character simply explaining "this is what happened to me while you were gone". It's almost like the end of the story was an after thought. "
