"This was an awesome book. For his last book, though he didn't know it was, Mr. Jacques did great with this one. It wasn't as redundant as the others in my opinion. Good job, Brian Jacques and may you rest in peace!"

“Readers of the popular Redwall series...will find delight in yet another adventure featuring the endearing creatures of Redwall Abbey.”
— Children’s Literature“This installment is just as good a starting point as any of the previous twenty titles. Tweens and young teens will line up for it.”
— VOYA“The latest entry in [this] prolific, popular series will please devotees...Side stories and alternating characters’ experiences add intrigue, suspense, and depth to an absorbing, sure-to-be-requested read.”
— Booklist“Filled with adventure, exciting battle scenes, and quirky characters, the story keeps listeners guessing. Jacques is a wonderful narrator, and a full cast brings to life all the unique traits of the creatures. The choice of music and the singing of the songs add to the magic. Fans of the series will enjoy this installment, but it can stand on its own.”
— School Library Journal (audio review)" This was a great book to read. It definatly was a book that I am going to add to my collection. I have read all of the books in the series, and I am impressed with Jaques' skills in all of them. "
— Hannah, 1/17/2014" Another awesome book from the amazing Brian Jacques. "
— Franklin, 1/16/2014" I adore Brain Jacques and the world he has created with the Redwall series. The Sable Quean is a good addition to the series, continuing with the fine feasts, valient heroes, evil vermin villains, with cunning plans and plot twists. This was a pretty straightforward story, with no riddles to speak of. It wasn't my favorite of the series (I have read them all), but it was better than several of the recent books. Jacques presented us with many wonderful new characters, and I would be happy to read another book with the same cast - I am sure there are other adventures to tell of Buckler, Diggs, Ambry, and maybe even Axtel and Flib. Hare though he may be, I have a bit of a crush on Buckler - he's the perfect hero. Sable Quean is a fun, easy read, especially for anyone whose heart has already been lost to Redwall Abbey! "
— Abby, 1/3/2014" I must not have liked this book that much because im writing this review much later and i cant remember it. "
— Isaac, 12/24/2013" I really enjoyed this audio production of The Sable Quean, narrated by Brian Jacques, the author. The story was terrific and the music was really enjoyable. "
— Susan, 11/17/2013" Brian Jacques' books are still good reading, but if you read too many Redwall books over too long a time they start to seem repetitive. "
— B., 10/8/2013" Josiah loved it! They get better and better, he says. :) "
— Konstantin, 10/7/2013" Enjoyed it. Same formula as the other Redwall books (no surprises there) but a fun read none the less. "
— Shani, 6/21/2013" Brian Jacques does it again with a brilliantly writing fantasy adventure. I can never get tired of his books. His writing is a loss to the literary world. "
— Jennifer, 6/20/2013" If I could wield any weapon- it would either be the sword or sling. "
— zoe, 1/28/2013" I love Brian Jacques. Delightful story. Good triumphs over evil. Plenty of laughter, singing and vittles. wot wot. "
— John, 12/13/2012" I think it would help to read the rest of the books in the series, but it still worked as a stand alone. Action-packed and interesting storyline. "
— Sarah, 5/16/2012" i like the idea, because it talks about kidnapping and revenge, but the events right now are going slowly. Brian Jaques in known to always suprise the reader at the last page, so I guess I should keep reading. "
— Greg712, 5/11/2012" OOh they found the lost tree home of the old refugees back in the days.. Thos were good times; good times :) "
— Dan, 5/3/2012" This was my first Brian Jacques book and I really enjoyed it. Read it with my son and if he is game, we'll try another. "
— Jan, 9/20/2011" I love Brian Jacques!!!! This book does not disappoint. It took me a little bit to get into it, but once I did, I couldn't put it down as usual. "
