Publisher Description

Young Sarah is no ordinary girl. She's been diagnosed as schizophrenic and locked away in a children's psychiatric ward. But that's not what makes her special. She also has a very strange - and powerful - gift.

Scientists have been studying Sarah's remarkable psychic power for years, enhancing it, manipulating it - twisting it into something evil. But their plans have gone horribly wrong. How much longer can they control Sarah? And what will happen if her powers are unleashed?

"The Reach had me turning the pages with delight. The plot and characters are well formed, there are only a few swear words, and no sex. The psych tests seemed a bit intimadating and I had to look them up because I didn't want to miss out on any of the details. Otherwise, it was an intense read!"

" This was a fast and fun read. The premise of a young girl, Sarah, and her mystical powers - combined with downright eerie cover art - provided quite the hook. And while the story was not perhaps the most original, Kenyon offered some interesting sub-plots that helped to spice up the story and keep it fresh. Unfortunately, the novel ended with some rather large questions left unaddressed. So, while I did enjoy reading this book - it was more of an entertaining way to pass the evening than anything particularly special. "

" I would say this is more medical thriller than horror. With that said I did enjoy it. All the medical jargon was a bit boring in some places. It starts out slow but speeds up to a great ending. I will be reading the author's first book. I must also say that on the cover he is compared to Stephen King. While it had aspects of Firestarter I do not think it was like King in any other way. "

" This is a perfectly adequate horror novel that is really more Robin Cook medical thriller, but it has some interesting bits of horror. Good for those long plane rides. "
