"This was a very nice follow-up to The Faerie Wars. Brennan has created a complex and multi-faceted world that is believable and well thought out. The political machinations throughout the book ring true and the pacing is fast and engaging. Well written and executed this is a great read and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series."

" Listened to this one. I actually liked this one better than the third one. It seemed like the author had a tendency to repeat himself. Gets a little old. Still makes the drive go faster. Unfortunately, our library doesn't have the first one on CD. :( "

" The sequel was so much more complex than the prequel, and so much better too! I couldn't put the book down, it was fantastic. It really benefited that there were different stories happening at the same time, and in the end they collided. I loved it! "

" These books tend to jump around a lot. There are over 100 chapters and frequently the chapters are 1 1/2 pages or less in length. Not every chapter jumps POV, but it does happen quite often. The villains also frequently work not only against each other with their various plots, but sometimes even against themselves. Ultimately the story is entertaining enough that I want to find out what happens next, but it's a mediocre story that doesn't shout "read me now!" "

" Really am enjoying this series. The chapters are short so the story seems to move a long. The author doesn't bother with too many descriptions, which is nice for a change. Blue would make a fun Halloween costume ;) "

" Did not like this one as much. There was a twist that Brennan came up with that I did not approve of, but in the end it turned out well so the third book wasn't ruined. Anyway, read it, because then when you read the third one, it'll make sense. "
