A spectacular thriller inspired by John Milton’s Paradise Lost in which the final chapter of the War in Heaven is about to play out on Earth, with the fate of humanity hanging in the balance.

The Myth

When God cast the archangel Satan into Hell, ending the War in Heaven, peace prevailed on Earth. Until the fallen angels took revenge in the Garden of Eden. Ever since, mankind has been in a struggle between good and evil, paradise and apocalypse: the fall of Rome, The Crusades, World Wars, nuclear proliferation, the Middle East Crisis... The War in Heaven never really ended-it just changed venues. For millennia, God's angels have been fighting Satan's demons on Earth, all in hopes of bringing about Satan's greatest ambition, the Apocalypse.

The Reality

Satan has never been closer to his goal than right now.

Agent Bernadette Callahan is a talented investigator at a shadowy government organization known only as Section, on the trail of a serial killer with nearly supernatural abilities. Sebastian "Batty" LaLaurie is a religious historian who knows far too much about the other side—and that hard-earned knowledge is exactly what Callahan needs. This unlikely duo pair up for a race across the globe, decoding clues left in ancient texts from the Bible to Paradise Lost and beyond. In the process they stumble upon a vast conspiracy—one beyond the scope of mankind's darkest imagination.

" Good book, very fast moving story line and well developed characters. Reminded me of "Angels & Demons"... "

" The End of Times ... Sao Paulo the Garden of Eden ... John Milton and Guns N' Roses !!! Imaginative, thought provoking and a great read. "

" Think Raiders of the Lost Ark meet The DaVinci Code...very well written, felt like it could be made into a movie. The first few pages don't make a whole lot of sense but don't be disapointed, read on and you will understand that part too once the story starts galloping along and you find it hard to put down. "

" It took me a while to get into this one. The beginning is slow. But around the one-third mark it finds its footing and ends very strong. "

" A bit of the Christopher Walken movies and the TV series Supernatural with a whole lot of Milton's Paradise Lost. If you like secret societies, fallen angels, end of the world and butt-kicking, you'll really enjoy this book. It reads like a movie "

" Robert Browne certainly made me pay attention with this book. I had to read with eyes and mind wide open. He kept me wondering what I would find on the next page. This is definitely one of the best books I have read in a while. It delivered a dash of spirituality along with sexuality, two things you don't often find side by side. All the history involving Saints really kept me thinking about the book every time I took a break. This is one book you won't set aside once you start reading it. I would give it six stars if I could. "

" Enjoyable read, the characters were very interesting. The book was well written and entertaining, however the angels and demons subject is not one of great interest to me "

" I love Christian conspiracies that are done well. This one delved more into the fantastical than others I have read. I wouldn't call it sci-fi but more of a fantasy using historical information and myths. I thoroughly enjoyed the read and actually look forward to more books by this author. "

" I'm not sure what to say about this book. It is not one of my favorites. I felt the author tried to push me into the story, rather than let the story take me away. It was just "Eh" for me. About half way through the book I had a hard time reading it. "
