Conservative talk-radio maven and bestselling author Laura Ingraham writes a satirical send-up of the first year of the Obama administration through humorous diary entries paired with incisive analysis of the President’s failings. In addition, she spells out how, as individuals, we can push forward the conservative agenda.
The Obama Diaries is a satirical takedown of the Obama Administration and its calamitous plans to “remake America.” With her signature wit and biting analysis, Ingraham builds the case against Team Obama using their own words and actions. Throughout the book, she sounds a rallying cry for personal responsibility and shows readers how they, as individuals, can triumph over Obama’s radical agenda and reclaim the liberty that is their birthright.

"Tongue in cheek observations regarding our current self absorbed President and his navel gazing entourage by my favorite conservative radio talk show host. No great revelations here, but now that we are two and a half years into the Obama presidency, you'll see that government is for grown-ups. "
— Jerry (4 out of 5 stars)
“As these hilarious, self-absorbed reveries demonstrate, Ingraham has a gift for acerbic expression. Her takedown of the forty-fourth president is always entertaining...With The Obama Diaries, Ingraham establishes herself as one of the cleverest thorns in the administration’s side.”
— Washington Post" A bit of a spoof, but fun to listen to... "
— Denise, 2/4/2014" AMEN, SISTER! Just wish I'd read this sooner... "
— Kelly, 2/2/2014" Incredibly mediocre...this book had the chance to be really satirical and funny, yet fell short with the same stuff..different day. I found myself getting incredibly bored with it and probably wouldn't have finished it unless I was the person who asked my library to order it! 2.5/5 stars (and even then, I am being generous) "
— Naomi, 1/31/2014" The concept of this book is that Laura has written fictional satirical diary entries from Obama and those around him, that tie in with events surrounding the presidency and point out the hypocrisy of the administration. Following each diary entry is the facts supporting the "fictional" entry. This just didn't work for me.. a couple were humorous, but overall, just way too overdone and tends to make light of serious issues.. I did like the supporting parts, just not the diary entries. "
— Jerry, 1/24/2014" Inflammatory, to say the least and fiction to boot. Listened to the end but too many "f" words. Do these leaders really talk this way? "
— Carolyn, 1/21/2014" Fun and very interesting read of a very depressing subject. The author presented the Obama administration for the fools and buffoons that they are. "
— Opa, 1/20/2014" I actually listened to the audio book...which was great because the actors for the various Obama family/administration characters were hilarious! Pretty pathetic book overall, but still entertaining. "
— Jared, 1/16/2014" Fantastic! Every American should read it! Hilarious, yet very thought-provoking and right on target! "
— Regina, 1/12/2014" I am losing my tolerance for argumentum ad sneeram. There is a fine line between satire and sneering, and she has crossed it. "
— Will, 1/12/2014" It was fun reading but how much insight can one person have into another persons mind. "
— Norbert, 12/28/2013" Awesome!!! Facts, fiction, and humor all rolled into one great Barack Hussein Obama Book!!! Outstanding!!! "
— Ryan, 12/10/2013" I started the book with high hopes, then she went all out there, and you wonder if anything in it is true. Feels like a character assasination. Not an OBAMA fan, but shame on you Laura. I don't recommend you waste your money on it, another smear campaign in the world of ugly dirty polictics. "
— Raelene, 10/29/2013" Campy. Good info, but the overkill of the fictitious package is annoying. "
— Kristopher, 10/15/2013" Certainly not laugh-out-loud funny, but it had its moments. "
— Beth, 9/21/2013" Funny premise and the diary entries are a clever idea; however, her in between commentary has too much complaining and preaching! "
— Chandler, 8/22/2013" What...a moron. "
— Gravis, 6/18/2013" Boy oh boy! If this doesn't get you to do some double thinking about where we, as a Nation, are heading. Well written. Nothing held back. Direct and to the point. An insider's perspective. Very understandable and easy to latch on to. Recommend the Audio version with Laura's voice. "
— Jim, 6/13/2013" More fact than fiction "
— David, 6/9/2013" I loved the book. Yes it is tongue in cheek, but a lot of it is straight from the newspapers regarding actual events. Very innovative/creative way to document what was happening during this period of time "
— Carol, 6/2/2013" It was a laughfest! Normally I don't read political fiction (though this is fiction AND nonfiction, they call it fiction) this book is an exception. Laura Ingraham's writing style topped with the sheer arrogance of the main characters was truly funny. I won't mind reading this book again. "
— Tee, 5/17/2013" I am not a big Larua Ingraham book fan....I like her, but her writing gets redundant after the first couple of chapters. "
— Jody, 4/24/2013" Entertaining! Come on folks - lighten up! Its satire - its comedy for crying out loud. Sure, some of it smacks of the truth... "
— Tim, 3/28/2013" A tongue in cheek look at the first family and probably too close to the truth about what goes through the minds of the top people in the Obama Administration, including Obama himself. "
— Terry, 3/25/2013" What great book. Laura manages to razzle the current Obama administration with wit and humor. I truly enjoyed this book and recommend it to all who are worried about the current path our country is on. "
— Anne, 11/17/2011" A good mix of satire and astute observation. "
— Sally, 10/6/2011" The book isn't remotely funny and only serves to irk me more about Obama and his family regardless of whether the "diary" is fact or fiction. "
— Christi, 6/22/2011" Smokey and Sleeveless. Loved it. "
— Julie, 6/8/2011" I didn't finish it. Didn't have to. It's the usual Obama hating/twisting book. Don't be fooled. The "diary" portions are fantasy and what this author imagines the Obama family, friends, and staff are saying behind closed doors. Pretty cheeky, but the left does it too. "
— Ann, 5/4/2011" A tongue in cheek look at the first family and probably too close to the truth about what goes through the minds of the top people in the Obama Administration, including Obama himself. "
— Terry, 4/28/2011" I can't even believe someone would publish such garbage!! "
— Craig, 4/17/2011" The diary entries were just funny. I laughed at every one. Wish there were more. The commentary was a little long and I found myself skipping some paragraphs because it sometimes appeared "preachy". I did enjoy it and would recommend to friends. "
— Stacey, 3/12/2011" Very enjoyable, with tears amidst laughter. "
— Sandra, 2/1/2011" What great book. Laura manages to razzle the current Obama administration with wit and humor. I truly enjoyed this book and recommend it to all who are worried about the current path our country is on. "
— Anne, 1/18/2011" great info in there, and you've got to love a book that bashes the obamas, but it was a drag, about 100 pages too long. "
— Brooks, 11/29/2010" A bit of a spoof, but fun to listen to... "
— Denise, 11/18/2010" Some funny and interesting parts....But a whole lotta political mumbo-jumbo... "
— Michelle, 10/31/2010" I have heard most of Laura Ingraham's ideas about the Obamas. I thought the diary premise was clever and the entries were laugh-out-loud funny at times. Interesting read. Very much Ingraham's conservative take on the first family, but I liked it. "
— Merrikay, 10/18/2010" I started the book with high hopes, then she went all out there, and you wonder if anything in it is true. Feels like a character assasination. Not an OBAMA fan, but shame on you Laura. I don't recommend you waste your money on it, another smear campaign in the world of ugly dirty polictics. "
— Kretch, 10/17/2010" It was a laughfest! Normally I don't read political fiction (though this is fiction AND nonfiction, they call it fiction) this book is an exception. Laura Ingraham's writing style topped with the sheer arrogance of the main characters was truly funny. I won't mind reading this book again. "
