The New Hope Crash.

About this Story:

This story is a work of fiction.

There really was a New Hope Crash and at the end of this story I will tell you the best place to read about it. The New Hope Crash has been on my mind for many years. I could never shake it. Finally, I went to see the crash site myself, and returning home wrote this story. It will tell you how I first came to hear and know about the real New Hope Crash and how I combined fact and fiction to I hope bring the story of that fateful evening to more and more readers across the nation and the world than those who had previously known about it. After I wrote it I discovered a site that had an account that had been written a day after the crash. I urge you to visit that site and read the accounts of people who were actually there when it happened. For their words are more powerful than mine. But hopefully, my words will have served the purpose of leading you to theirs. Sincerely, Will Bevis Gadsden, AL July 8, 2012
