"An enjoyable and rather quick read through Rice's latest. The characters were likable and unpredictable. Once your in the thick of it, it's hard to put down and leaves you wanting more. The ending was ambiguous enough to wonder if a sequel will follow; I hope there will be! Overall not my favorite, but fans won't be disappointed." — John (4 out of 5 stars)

“Smooth tones and a clear presentation are precisely what listeners have come to expect from narrator Cassandra Campbell. Here she gives strong character definition as well as appropriate pacing and intensity to this sprawling, loosely organized story…The international action combined with family drama presents Campbell with challenges of accent, tempo, and emphasis, which she manages convincingly…[providing] a satisfying listening experience.”
“Christopher Rice shows his guns by weaving family secrets, breakneck plotting, and true-to-life characters into a thriller of unusual depth. The Moonlit Earth is intense, moving, and rich in ways that promise a stellar career. Well done!”
“Christopher Rice delivers it all: action, suspense, and international intrigue. The Moonlit Earth is a timely and tautly told tale.”
“A compelling cat-and-mouse thriller…Rice sensitively charts the relationship of two close-knit siblings.”
" Good book, easy to read "
" Rice failed to keep my attention with this one. It seemed so much different than the other two I have read of his. I found myself skimming most of it which disappoints me because, in the past, I really enjoyed his writing. "
" Intriguing plot but the storytelling felt disjointed at times. "
" I'm about 2/3 of the way thru this book, and so far it's really interesting. "
" Too wordy, dragged out and just too much in the way of thought proccesses of the characters. Good plot. "
" considered by the author as the closest thing he'll get to doing a "robert ludlum", this is my least favorite of rice's books which, i'll nevertheless, continue to look forward to. a bit sketchy and disjointed. "
" Book club read, well done. "
" A fast, thoroughly engaging read. Didn't go in the direction I expected, which kept me guessing. "
" Nothing like his first novel. I absolutely loved that one...and had high hopes for this one, but they were completely dashed. This book had no point, and I never cared for any of the characters--they were extremely flat. "
" Somewhat liked this book, but I'm still not sure. "
" Overall a good read. Interesting plot, mostly likeable characters. I did find the pacing to be a bit off, especially with an unnecessary flashback toward the end . I liked Majed's character the most. "
" Christopher Rice has done it again with his latest book. I LOVED it. I was gripped from page one and was quite surprised by the ending. "
" Not as good as his first 3 books, but better than the last. This seemed like a fairly quick read. "
" I went on a Christopher Rice binge recently, reading "A Density of Souls," "Light Before Day," and "The Moonlit Earth." This was my favorite, though it was a tough call. "
" Although it took me a month to read, this was a really great book. It kept me wondering what was going on. I never figured out what was going on until the very end. I look forward to reading more of his books. "
" Over-indulgent Rice piffle about a sister trying to save her brother's reputation when he's accused of terrorist involvement. Reads like a "ripped from the headlines" novel that TV movies are made from. Blah. "
" Nice mix of intrigue & suspense combined with a seductive sort of descriptive prose that reminds me of his mother's writing. My favorite of Christopher Rice's books so far. :) "
" Great novel.First time I've read a book by Christopher Rice, but I know it won't be the last now that I've finished. "
" Christopher Rice is a pleasure of mine that is almost as guilty as the Gossip Girl books. Okay not that guilty. "
" Another great book by Christopher Rice. His characters come to life and the story grips you from the beginning. His ability to keep you guessing from the first page to the last makes him one of my favorite authors. "
