"Thanks to Esther, Jerry, an Abraham for helping me see a new, exciting, and fulfilling way to find joy! I enjoyed the conversationalist approach and the way the book was conceived. For fans of, "The Secret" you'll find the every day, practical methods of how to connect with the Universe,"
— Scott (5 out of 5 stars)
This is plain and simply, one of the most powerful books I have ever read. One's entire life can change because of what is found here.
— Neale Donald WalschThis is a great book! My wife and I have enjoyed these profound and extremely practical Abraham teachings for several years
— John GrayJerry and Esther Hicks' bestselling title Ask and it is Given is an absolute must for anyone interested in the law of attraction, and using it to better their lives, finances and relationships.
— Soul & Spirit magazine" I've listened to this on my ipod. It comes up every once in a while when it's set for shuffle. A chapter here and there is a nice reminder of a more clear and positive way to live. "
— Jennifer, 2/18/2014" I found this book to have alot of valuable insights and ideas, but there were also ideas that I don't agree with so I did a lot of sifting to make sure I only took the best of it. In a nutshell it promots being happy and tells you how to go about doing that. Very valuable information. "
— Christine, 2/18/2014" Simple and clear wisdom. Difficult to apply, but worth the effort. "
— Jack, 2/16/2014" Only got half-way through ... too repetitive. But I guess I can't fault the listed authors since the content is all from the channellings of spirit-beings Abraham. How does one edit spirit-beings?? "
— Carol, 2/15/2014" This book was pretty wacky. It made a few good points, but in general the idea that everyone has complete free will, and all misfortune is self-induced is a very dangerous one. This kind of thinking contributes to scary modes of thought including rational self-interest and individualism, ideologies that actively deny the existence of social structures and cultural contexts. This justification of existing systems of inequality can only contribute to more human suffering. "
— Katie, 2/12/2014" Interesting, selfish, and from a shady source. One of the most detailed and specific texts on the Law of Attraction I've read anywhere... heavily blended with lies and half-truths about our eternal identity and a complete neglect of our responsibilities in what we do with this knowledge. I give it one star, because unless you have a REALLY good handle on the plan of salvation and are pretty darn expert at discerning truth from error, you will have a tremendous difficulty in sifting through this text. A FAR more responsible text if you're looking for one is James Allen's "As a Man Thinketh." It does a brilliant job of discussing cause and effect and personal responsibility. "
— Kimbra, 2/4/2014" This book literally changed my life -- maybe even saved it. "
— Frederick, 1/30/2014" Liked Ask and It Is Given better. But, I enjoyed this one it was informative. "
— Cindy, 1/16/2014" Another good book to follow-up on after the Secret "
— Cheryl, 1/6/2014" One of the must read books. Enjoyed reading every bit of it. "
— Prasanna, 1/5/2014" This gives alot of good information on changing your way of thinking to obtain what you want from life. Although it is quite repetitive and I don't usually care for that type of writing. "
— Lisa, 1/1/2014" Being positive about your thoughts can make good things come your way "
— Kimberly, 12/29/2013" This book means more to me than any book I've ever read. It's not for everyone. I will never forget it and use it as a reference forever. "
— Meghan, 12/16/2013" Very thought provoking. It's change my thinking and my life! "
— Jules, 12/15/2013" Fun to read but leaves me scratching my head a little. I love the whole topic on the Universal Laws of Attraction, so I read many different books on the subject. I've watched the authors in an interview...interesting, but still makes me wonder about the whole Abraham thing. "
— Teresa, 12/10/2013" Philosophically, a good book. There are other books on the power of the mind that are much better. Other aspects were either weird or downright scary. "
— Chrissie, 12/7/2013" Great book. changed how I saw my life and how I live it. "
— Karah, 12/4/2013" This book continues with the same information as 'Ask and It Is Given' and 'The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent.' However, it really doesn't offer any NEW information. It's still great reinforcement for improving your life, but it's not as powerful as the other books, in my opinion. "
— Amy, 11/11/2013" I loved the Secret so I thought I would like this....wow it is different. Ok not what I expected. "
— Chelsee, 7/17/2013" A must-read, bible of these days. "
— Stasia, 3/13/2013" If you can get past the first 20 pages of weirdness, then the book is amazing. Just applying some of these principles to my life has brought about amazing results. "
— Carrie, 9/13/2012" I like this book, what else is there to say? hmmmm All of Ester and Jerry hicks books are great. Even the Sarah series, which I have started reading to my son. "
— Melvin, 6/17/2012" It is done unto you as you believe! "
— Michelle, 5/7/2012" A very intersting self enhancement book that certainly gave me new ideas about the power of positive intent and love. A good book for anyone to read. "
— Tony, 12/13/2011" The ideas are good. I think the basic concept is repetitive, especially throughout the series. As much as I read about it and follow the concepts, the law of attraction seems to allude me. And I do not want bad stuff, I can release, so what's the problem? "
— Judy, 11/12/2011" Once you start deliberately creating every day you'll know that this book and others by Esther and Jerry Hicks will literally change your life! "
— January, 4/27/2011" Heavy reading and I almost didn't finish to the end, but at the very end there is an activity that I have found very useful. So make sure you read to the end to get to the activity. It is a good one. "
— Judith, 2/25/2011" Such a wonderful idea to call the Kingdom of Heaven "the vortex". As a lover of SF it makes sense to me. My question to Abe: All my "stuff" is there, however, if contrast and stuff no longer excite me, what will I find there? "
— Margareth, 12/12/2010" Great book about how to maintain a good relationship with yourself and the universe. Highly recommend very easy to read and has some great tips about the gunk that gums up our thinking that in turn holds us back in life. "
— Melissa, 10/1/2010" It was a fascinating book but unfortunately i read it after the fact! It was like reading a CPR manual after the patience death! I am so sorry. "
— Sarialp7, 9/15/2010" I was led to this book at just the right time, when I needed the messages most. A brilliant book. "
— Mel, 9/12/2010" For those familiar with Abraham Hicks books, The Vortex felt like much welcome fresh material. An evolution of the teachings. Recommended. "
— Patricia, 6/18/2010" If you are having relationship difficulties in any area of your life, this book will give you a different perspective and insight on them. If your open minded, you will get something from that and maybe place your mind (and heart) at ease. "
