This abridged audiobook presents the powerful basics of the original Teachings of Abraham. Abraham (speaking through Esther Hicks) reveals how all things, wanted and unwanted, are brought to you by this most powerful law of the universe: the Law of Attraction (That which is like unto itself is drawn). You've most likely heard the sayings Like attracts like, Birds of a feather flock together, or It is done unto you as you believe (a belief is only a thought you keep thinking). Although the Law of Attraction has been alluded to by some of the greatest teachers in history, it has never before been explained in as clear and practical terms as it is here.

You'll learn about the omnipresent laws that govern this universe and how to make them work to your advantage. The knowledge that you'll absorb from listening to Abraham's wisdom will take all the guesswork out of daily living. You'll finally understand just about everything that's happening in your own life, as well as the lives of those you're interacting with, and you will find out how you can joyously be, do, or have anything that you desire! " I found this book to have alot of valuable insights and ideas, but there were also ideas that I don't agree with so I did a lot of sifting to make sure I only took the best of it. In a nutshell it promots being happy and tells you how to go about doing that. Very valuable information. "

" I've listened to this on my ipod. It comes up every once in a while when it's set for shuffle. A chapter here and there is a nice reminder of a more clear and positive way to live. "

" Simple and clear wisdom. Difficult to apply, but worth the effort. "

" Only got half-way through ... too repetitive. But I guess I can't fault the listed authors since the content is all from the channellings of spirit-beings Abraham. How does one edit spirit-beings?? "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Katie Glanz | 2/12/2014

" This book was pretty wacky. It made a few good points, but in general the idea that everyone has complete free will, and all misfortune is self-induced is a very dangerous one. This kind of thinking contributes to scary modes of thought including rational self-interest and individualism, ideologies that actively deny the existence of social structures and cultural contexts. This justification of existing systems of inequality can only contribute to more human suffering. "

" Interesting, selfish, and from a shady source. One of the most detailed and specific texts on the Law of Attraction I've read anywhere... heavily blended with lies and half-truths about our eternal identity and a complete neglect of our responsibilities in what we do with this knowledge. I give it one star, because unless you have a REALLY good handle on the plan of salvation and are pretty darn expert at discerning truth from error, you will have a tremendous difficulty in sifting through this text. A FAR more responsible text if you're looking for one is James Allen's "As a Man Thinketh." It does a brilliant job of discussing cause and effect and personal responsibility. "

" Fun to read but leaves me scratching my head a little. I love the whole topic on the Universal Laws of Attraction, so I read many different books on the subject. I've watched the authors in an interview...interesting, but still makes me wonder about the whole Abraham thing. "

" Philosophically, a good book. There are other books on the power of the mind that are much better. Other aspects were either weird or downright scary. "

" This book continues with the same information as 'Ask and It Is Given' and 'The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent.' However, it really doesn't offer any NEW information. It's still great reinforcement for improving your life, but it's not as powerful as the other books, in my opinion. "

" The ideas are good. I think the basic concept is repetitive, especially throughout the series. As much as I read about it and follow the concepts, the law of attraction seems to allude me. And I do not want bad stuff, I can release, so what's the problem? "
