The first of a four-part audio series from Stephen King’s bestseller, Four Past Midnight
Passengers on a transcontinental flight from Los Angeles to Boston awaken to find most of their fellow passengers missing. Unable to make contact with anyone outside the plane, they land in Bangor, Maine, but the airport there is also deserted. The remaining passengers come to realize that they avoided death because they were asleep—but that won’t last for long. The “langoliers” are closing in on them. In order to avoid certain death, they fly back to Los Angeles to “fix” the time warp in which they’re trapped. That means that they must be asleep when they go through the time warp—but someone will have to land the plane.

"This is my first dive into the writing of Stephen King. I don't know why I wanted so long to read him but I am glad I finally got around to it. He paints such a vivid picture that it is easy to get caught up reading well into those midnight hours. I am continuing my reading of this master author by reading Secret Window Secret Garden. Though I am only just barely into the story I can tell that I will not be disappointed. You can tell that he is a story teller. That he wants to share with you and interesting tale and that you will want to hear it. I wish more authors could master that technique of just wanting to tell you a story."
