" I read about 100 pages then quit reading. Couldn't figure out where this book was going. "
— Hank, 2/16/2014" Nice diversion from American thrillers. "
— Louanne, 2/14/2014" Enjoyed the book at the start, then it started to drag a bit. Ending was ok nothing special after it dragged on for so long. "
— Jacqui, 2/13/2014" Really different from any other books I have read. It kept me hooked, loved the character of Joona. What is interesting is that the twists and the plot are totally unpredictable and takes you by surprise through out. Overall a good read. I am happy that I picked the book to read. "
— Sri, 2/5/2014" Pretty gruesome. "
— Paul, 1/30/2014" I highly recommend this book if you're forced to sit in a room for 9 hours watching videos of continuing legal education lectures. It's quite a page-turner; plus, the cover blurb says that you'll like it if you like the Stieg Larsson books, since they share a sense of "existential Nordic dread," and really, who doesn't look for that in a novel? "
— Becky, 1/28/2014" Solid crime novel with scary criminals. Some awkward writing--quality of translation or in the original?--but the plot is very propulsive. "
— Julie, 1/19/2014" i guess i am going through the phase where i want to read another stieg larsson book because this is my second attempt and this book is worse than the harry hole series. it is so obviously written by two different people that it seems clunky to read. the group therapy sessions were painful to read the story implausible. oh yeah serial killer on the loose and i won't need police protection???? "
— Jennifer, 1/17/2014" it wasn't great. it started out ok but with all the Pokemon stuff and well, whatever. if I were you...I'd skip it. "
— Megan, 1/13/2014" A fine Swedish noir, as it goes. But I get annoyed by mysteries that use structure and chronology to create the suspense. "
— Scott, 1/12/2014" it really made me stay up at night. I would have to say that it's one of my favourite novels. "
